This is just a quick hodgepodge post. As most of the US braces for back-to-back severe winter storms, we seem to have landed in the right spot this winter!
We are just an hour north of Laredo, Texas, well south of I-10, which many RVers use as the sweet spot for wintering in an RV.
This drilling site, with just two wells, should be finished by Monday. We will follow this drilling rig to its next site for a couple of weeks before we wrap up our winter in South Texas, begin our journey north, and start our next chapter (stay tuned), which has nothing to do with work-camping!
Please read the photo captions for the deets on this post.
Until we chat again, please stay home, stay warm, and be safe!!

Lucky for us, we should only experience low temperatures, maybe below freezing for a few hours overnight, but then back up above freezing for the rest of the day. This will occur on Sunday and Monday.

We are down near that white section, at the bottom of Texas.

Last week, the drilling rig ordered catering for the crew. We each got a full plate! BBQ corned beef, spicy sausage, potato salad, spicy baked beans and a jalepeno!!

The methane gas burnoff at one of the production wells near us sometimes lights up the night (and day) sky!!

Remember “Brown Cow”? Well, he still comes to visit. Sometimes he brings a friend.

It’s a little dusty at this site!

With the Texas sun, we need some shelter!
