Before we move on to the following article, this warrants being said again; We have this website to share our journey and the blessings bestowed on us. We do so at the risk of coming across as braggards. That IS NOT our intention. We legitimately worry about this. We have lived very simply for thirty+ years, sacrificed and worked hard to get where we are. Please join us on the journey and please know we bring you our experiences with a humble heart.
Many have asked, so here is a tour of the “retirement rig”. It is a 2023 Grand Design Reflection 341RDS. It is 37 feet long and 12′ 6″ high. It weighs 14,000 pounds. When we were looking for a fifth wheel, we had a list of things that it must have. This rig checked off most, but not all of the boxes. Some of the criteria were: three very separate and distinct spaces; living space, kitchen and bedroom. It also needed to be less than 40′ long. We wanted a “east/west” bed with a queen size mattress. We wanted two roof air conditioners and a residential refrigerator. We did not want a “booth style” dinette. We wanted free standing chairs. We did not want a rig with a washer and dryer already installed. We don’t want these appliances. We only wanted only one TV and no outdoor kitchen or entertainment center. We also wanted the rig to be “all season” approved and capable of being lived in full-time. What we got was most of the above. The refrigerator is 12 volt, not residential (110volt). We wanted “front living” but settled for very distinct “rear living”. We got a bonus of 380 watts of roof solar panels that we like having! The window shades are true “black out” shades and we love them. We didn’t get the “basement” storage we wanted, but have a ton of interior storage and cabinet space. We even got an electric fireplace/heater, that wasn’t on our must have list, but we really like. Peruse the pics. Ask questions. Enjoy the journey with us. We RVery Blessed. Truly, we are.

View from the very rear of the RV. The love seat has two recliners with heat and massage. The couch pulls out into a full size bed. In the back ground is the kitchen sink. Since this photo (9/2023), we have removed the couch on the righthand side of the photo and put in a desk creating an office space!
The kitchen table slides both in and out as well as side to side. We actually like it for the two of us. Notice all the cabinet space.
The recliners and a view of the kitchen. There is a very large (deep) pantry to the left of the pic and the stove. The stove is a three burner, propane gas stove with a large gas oven below.
The kitchen sink and the most important appliance…the coffee pot!
The living space with the fireplace and a 50″ TV with Roku. The fireplace is a 5000BTU heater as well.
The kitchen sink and stairway to the bathroom and bedroom.
The kitchen. The refrigerator is 16 cu ft, the stove is a 30″ three burner cooktop and the microwave is a 1550 watt residential.
The “brain” center. Here are all the master switches for all the lights, tank heaters, WiFi, slide out and awning control as well as the holding tank capacity indicators. The round indicator on the top is the charge controller indicator for the rooftop solar panels.
This couch is also a hide-a-bed. It is opposite the one in the previous pic.
The steps and hallway leading to the bathroom and bedroom.
The bathroom. The pic is pretty self explanatory!
The toilet is porcelain, not plastic and the shower is very roomy and has a seat behind the doors.
The bedroom. This is where we sleep and read. 😛 It has the second AC and a very spacious closet. Inside the closet are the hook-ups for a washer and dryer, which we won’t install.
We use this water pressure regulator. We set it to 55psi which is what the water pump is rated for. Any time we leave the RV, we turn off the water to the rig completely. It takes 10 seconds and could save us thousands of dollars in water damage, should something happen in our absence.
This pic shows the city water spigot, the water pressure regulator and the water filter. Yes…we drink the water.
This bad boy cost a lot of money! It is a Power WatchDog EMS. It monitors the power going to the rig and protects the RV from surges and brownouts. It will automatically disconnect the power if it senses anything wrong other then consistant clean power. We can use an app on our phone to see all the power details.
This is our “old” sticker. The new one has just been designed with a fifth wheel instead of the Class C motorhome. We really believe this is our slogan. We have been, and remain being, very blessed. We are forever grateful to God for His grace and mercy.
I always enjoy your travel adventures. I may have missed some of your travelogues, but I’ve traveled all over the world and have been to some of the places you’ve been. I’ve enjoyed being reminded of the beauty of the world. Keep it up with the grace, safety, and beauty of God!

Hi Sister Mary Francis~ Thanks for following along on our journey! Please keep us in your prayers!
I love this! Beautiful rig!! Does the step at the slide outs cause any bother? Is this common to see among campers with slide outs?
Good eye! Yes, it is a pretty common placement for the door and steps to be where they are. That slide-out next to the door is the “office”!!
