It’s not all work and no play!! The “getting prepared for the season” time has mostly come to an end, and now, though there are still many projects to be completed, the work days aren’t as busy as they have been. Below is a photo explanation of some things we have been up to…

Amid a heavy rain, we were out geocaching. The cache we were hunting for in this pic eluded us. It was in the forest that was adjacent to a giant cemetery. One word…errie!

Here is the new cache and log about to be hidden!

In March of 2021, we visited “The Old Rugged Cross” church in Pokagon, Michigan. It is where the Rev. George Bennard’s hymn “The Old Rugged Cross” was first sung publicly in 1913, during a revival. While there in 2021, we hid a geocache. This past week we returned to do some maintenance on the cache, update the coordinates and re-hide it!

Chris is busy power washing the front of the Airbnb house, the attached porch, and deck.

Can you decipher the power-washed code?

Ken is by NO MEANS an electrician, but with the main circuit breaker shut off, he felt confident that he could repair a faulty electric meter at one of the seasonal sites.

The old meter, about to be removed and replaced.

We visited the Shipshewana flea market last Tuesday. We will go again next Tuesday!

A little refreshment at the Sister Lakes Brewery!

This little airstream has the best site at the campground. It is the “Bambi” model.

We have had several campfires here. More than any other place we have worked.

Sunday Mass in the Sister Lakes is so well attended during the summer that our local church holds mass outdoors. The actual church is way too small to accomodate all the attendees.

Camp host Ken, welcoming a guest!

Ken powerwashed the new patio outside the game barn. It was a tedious but satisfying task!

There is a local theater in Dowagiac that puts on several shows per year. We bought a “3-pack” of tickets. We went to see “Clue: The Musical”. It is based on the board game.
