God Laughed At Our Plans

Y’all are funny! Yesterday morning, before we left Springfield, IL, we did a quick post with one of the popular (so last month) AI caricatures. We asked you all to take a guess at where we were headed next. We didn’t pay much attention to the caricature features. We just posted it. We never thought so many of you would analyze the caricature so carefully to come up with your guesses. We apologize for steering you awry!

Here’s the update… We aren’t going to England, Scotland, Ireland, or Poland. Remember, we just cancelled a five-week trip to Portugal, Spain and Italy that also included a week-long cruise of the Mediterranean. We spent the past five weeks in Springfield, Illinois, helping Chris’s mom work through some medical issues and putting some supports in place.

When we started this quit-irement work-camping journey almost two years ago, we decided that because there are literally thousands of different opportunities out there for us to experience, we wouldn’t need/want to repeat any of the experiences. Well, that was until we met the Knutsons of Fisher, MN, the Crairs of Silverton, TX and the Nootbaars of the Sister Lakes, MI. They have made this experience something we never expected. Yes, we would also go back to South Texas to Gate Guard again as well, but we would not go back to the Flying C Ranch in Encino, NM.

We had BIG plans for this summer. Something most people never get to experience, but God laughed at our plans and told us His plan. Sooo…

We are returning to Wonder Woods RV Park & Cabins for another season as the Camp Hosts. In fact, we arrived on site yesterday evening around 5:00pm. We like this place and really enjoy the guests and owners. They are very gracious and will allow Chris to return to Springfield as often as necessary to support her mom.

Now the BIG QUESTION…When will YOU and your family come to stay at Wonder Woods RV Park & Cabins this season? We have full hook-up RV sites as well as awesome “glamping” cabins! We would LOVE to see you!!
