This past weekend (Friday thru Tuesday) took us to our annual “Meet in the Middle”- Watkins Glen, on Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes region.
During 1984 Chris traveled with “Up With People” a group of young people who did a song and dance stage show all around the world, promoting peace, inclusion, and seeing each other as equal people. You may recall that we just got back from Ireland in August after attending the UWP International Alumni Association Annual Reunion. Well, we have been “Meeting in the Middle” for the past ELEVEN years with two of Chris’ castmates and their spouses. One couple is from Michigan, one is from Connecticut and one was from Illinois. We try to “Meet in the Middle” of the three homes. This year we met in the Finger Lakes region of New York. It was quite a journey to get there, but well worth the effort!
Stay tuned for the next update, as we just got back to the RV after our first day of work at Bowlin’s “Flying C Ranch” in New Mexico. Our commute to work is about a three minute walk from the RV, but today it was through 15 inches of SNOW!!!! More details on this in the next update.
We drove 85 miles from the “Flying C Ranch” to Albuquerque. We spent the night in a hotel and had a 6:20am flight from ABQ to Baltimore, MD connecting to Rochester, NY. Then we rented a car for the 1.5 hour drive to the AirBnb… a pretty long travel day.

We always do at least two puzzles during the gathering. This was a fun one!
