We are SO EXCITED!!! Home Sweet Home!!
We picked up the RV in Lubbock this morning. The roof looks amazing! We are delighted to be back in our “home” and not sleeping around like vagabonds.
Now we are organizing the RV back to the we had it before we had to move out of it for 10 days.
We are also preparing for the upcoming low temperatures of 15F, 14F, and 8*F!
The answer to yesterday’s trivia question is that the entire meal including tax was only $28.68!

Ahhh…a new roof!! We are very happy that Grand Design stood behind their product!!
This was the original cause of the roof damage. This is one of two “attic” vents. This design is completely different from the design that caused the damage.
The roof tech at Blue Compass RV in Lubbock, TX did an awesome job with sealing all the edges and intrusions .

A pic of some of the rot on the roofing board.
That circle opening is the opening in the roofing board to allow ventilation in the “attic”, the area between the ceiling and the roof. It is also insulated in that space.
All the black and white is rot. If you pushed even a little hard, the board would have collapsed. This is due to water intrusion from the attic vent.
