We often get asked, “Do you use your RV stove?,” or “Do you cook in the RV?” The answer to both questions is an absolute YES! In fact, our budget for dining out is $200 per month, and we try to not get even close to that amount.
We have a three-burner propane gas cooktop, a gas oven, a toaster oven, and a microwave. We (by this, we mean Chris) cook in the RV all the time. Check out the pictures below of some of the foods Chris has made. Obviously, we don’t take pictures of every meal prepared, but this will give you an idea of what can be done!
We really enjoy reading your comments. Please leave a comment for us, maybe making an RV meal suggestion! There was a surprise photo included in our last post, but you had to actually read through all the photos to see it. Hmmm…maybe there is another surprise photo included in this post!

Home made bagels, made from scratch!

Irish scones with cranberries.

Chicken casserole with Ritz crackers.

Home-made breakfast rolls fresh out of the toaster oven.

Chris, the resident chef, wearing her Grandma’s kitchen apron!

Hatch Chili and cheese bread. It is very good, but even better when toasted and SLATHERED with butter!

Thanksgiving dinner with turkey breast, potatoes, stuffing and gravy.

Homemade pizza! We have a rectangular oven stone, that’s why the pizza is a rectangle.

Chicken Enchiladas, made with Chris’ own sauce. We usually make 2 and freeze one for later!

The McCafferty Breakfast Sandwich.

Yummy bacon baked in the oven.

Another homemade personal-sized pizza, with the Mississippi River in the background!

More breakfast “bagels.” Easier to not have to shape them!

Meatballs for “Firecracker Meatballs and Rice”

Biscuits and gravy.

A breakfast sandwich with one of the homemade bagels.

These are “Refrigerator Muffins.” You prepare the batter and make as many muffins as you need fresh! The batter stays in the refrigerator until the next time you want some muffins (which around here is about every morning)! We make these with dried cranberried and mini chocolate chips!

Fresh homemade bruschetta and salads.

Fresh salad

One guess at whose salad this is…Ken’s or Chris’s?

This is Benson. He is three weeks old! Say hello to “Benny”!!
