Our RV: People Have Asked About

People have asked about the RV we travel in. We co-own this rig with friends of ours. We bought it brand new in April 2016. We created a legal partnership and have a letter of agreement outlining the use of it and expectations for each party.

Coachman Freelander 29KS RV:

The rig is a Coachman Freelander 29KS. In the RV world, it is called a “Class C”. It is basically 29′ long and has a kitchen slide. That’s where the “KS” comes from. It has a private bedroom with a queen bed, a bathroom with shower, toilet, sink, and a full kitchen with stove, refrigerator, and microwave. In all, it “could” sleep 8 people, but that would honestly be tight! There is a TV in the bedroom and in the living space, though we have rarely ever used either one. There is an onboard generator, so if you’d like to cook a meal while traveling down the interstate, you could (and we have).

To date, there are 76,000 miles on the meter. Your average full-time RVer puts about 5000 miles on a rig in a year. Our partners and we are definitely getting our money’s worth out of this one!  As you can see from the pics, we use a tow dolly to tow Chris’ Jeep Patriot. This way we can leave our “house” at the campground and still have a means of getting around to explore!
